High Country Ride - 1.5hr trek time
Become familiar with your horse on Horse Riding Tasmania's property before heading into the luscious high country. Be guided through native bushland surrounded by magnificent views on this spectacular 1 hour trek. Keep your eyes peeled for local wildlife including kangaroos, wallaby’s echidnas, wombats as well as bird life and prolific native flora. Catch a glimpse of ocean views looking out across the Kellevie Tiers towards Marion Bay where the popular Falls Festival is held each year. This trek is ideal for beginner riders.
Lakeview - 2hr trek time
Join a 2 hour trek that winds through native bush trails and across creeks before discovering "Hidden Lake." Look out for Sea Eagles, Wedge Tailed Eagles and other water birds that call Hidden Lake home. As you trek back through a tranquil pine forest trail be alert for Native Tasmanian Yellow Tailed Black Cockatoos.
Old Homestead - 2.5-3.5hr trek time
Discover generations of local family history on the Old Homestead ride as you trek over rolling green hills, past Hidden Lake to the emerging Old Homestead. Nestled between the tributary of Iron Stone Creek the Old Homestead is a relic boasting many tales and a beautiful 100 year old oak tree. Enjoy the opportunity for an uphill canter if your skill and desire permit on your way back to Horse Riding Tasmania stables.
