Things to do in Port Lincoln - Shark Diving - Swim with Seals at Port Lincoln
Whether you take the 8-hour drive from Adelaide, or cut off a chunk of time taking the ferry across Spencer Gulf from Wallaroo over to Lucky Bay on the Eyre Peninsula, Port Lincoln has its fair share of delights awaiting you. If it’s adrenalin you’re after look no further than taking a dip with a few awe inspiring great white sharks, with the added protection of a cage of course. The Port Lincoln Great White Shark Dive Experience operates Monday & Saturday all year.
That’s not all this often forgotten corner of Australia has to offer. The trawlers bobbing up and down in the harbour are there with good reason, with some of the world’s finest seafood on offer from vast reserves off the coast. There is any number of pristine, deserted beaches that you will have to yourself dotted around the Eyre Peninsula, particularly around Tumby Bay. And the delightful natural setting of Coffin Bay, also famous for its oysters, lies about an hour away on the west coast of the peninsula where you can take your 4WD through amazing dunes and salt marshes.
