Magnificent Taronga Zoo is located in Mosman, on the beautiful shores of Sydney Harbour. The zoo is set on 52 hectares and has thousands of animal species, set in striking natural surrounds for your viewing and educational pleasure. Divided into eight eco friendly precincts – which include a marine section, an Asian rainforest environment, platypus and wild cat’s exhibit – this is a zoo deeply committed to conservation and education.  Included in the price of general admission is your opportunity to join expert zookeepers in an exciting behind the scenes tour, for a once in a lifetime opportunity to get up close to the animals and their keepers. 

Taronga’s Wild Australia Experience – Premium behind the Scenes Zoo Keeper Tour
This two hour 'Behind the Scenes Tour' is a wonderful experience, allowing you access to the daily rituals of zoo keeping. You will be able to see how the animals' food is prepared, hand feed wallabies and kangaroos, and join the koalas in their enclosure. Your friendly zookeepers will educate and enlighten you on animal care, and take you to visit the elusive nocturnal creatures at the Australian Nightlife exhibit.

You will also enjoy a scrumptious morning or afternoon tea, which includes tea, coffee, or soft drink with a delicious muffin.

Trip Includes

• All day general admission to the Zoo
• Small personalised groups with maximum 8 people fully escorted by expert zoo keepers
• Be photographed with koalas in their enclosure
• See the kangaroos & wallabies & have the opportunity to hand feed
• Visit a real working 'animal kitchen' & see how all the food is prepared
• Visit behind the scenes in the Australian Nightlife exhibit for encounters with elusive nocturnal creatures
• Enjoy morning or afternoon tea (muffins & tea/coffee/soft drink)

• Tours depart from the Visitor Information Desk in the Taronga Zoo main entrance, Bradleys Head Road, Mosman (15 minutes by ferry from Sydney CBD, Circular Quay. Ferry ticket not included)
• Operates daily all year
