Lovely service and communication was prompt!

    Product rating:

The Sea world boat staff were very welcoming and friendly. They were professional in every way possible. The boat was immaculate from top to bottom - it felt like we were on a brand new boat. It was a lovely idea for the captain of the boat to gree t and farewell passengers individually. The host (Grace?) did an amazing job in keeping us informed with what was happening. Her knowledge of whales was tremendous. It was just wonderful as we were lucky to see 9 whales (3 of which had new born calves).

There is currently only a special on adult tickets. I would recommend booking all adult special tickets for seniors and students to get the best price.

What type of whales are we likely to see. where have they come from and where are they going . Will we see young whales??

    Comments

Heya, They are hump back whales, travelling from Antartica, heading south at the moment back home after their journey north. There is no guarantee of seeing babies but they have had some sightings of mothers with babies in the last few weeks. Hope this helps :) Kind regards

we will be coming up on the 24th july till the 31st july can i book now and change the date if weather is bad
    Regards June

    Comments

We can arrange for you to be picked up from your Surfers Paradise accommodation for the Gold Coast whale watching tour. There is no extra charge for this. The price for the whale watching tour is $99 per adult or $77 for kids.

The whale watching is very popular so I recommend booking now for one of your first days in the Gold Coast, so that if the weather is no good you can always move to another day. That being said, this time of the year the weather is usually calm. You can book via the Book Now button below and we will email your confirmation straight back to you.

I am really interested in doing the Sea world whale watch in the Gold Coast but I am prone to sea sickness, is this trip recommended for people with sea sickness?

    Comments

Hi Matt, the Gold Coast Sea World Whale Watch tour goes into open water and the sea conditions vary each day. If you are prone to sea sickness then i would recommend you speak to a pharmacist before your tour. There are wrist straps and natural ginger motion sickness remedies available to buy at the check in terminal, however if you need stronger medication you will need to visit a pharmacy. Please give us a call on the morning or the night before your trip to get an idea of sea conditions. Many people that are prone to sea sickness do go on this tour and are fine provided they take their usual remedies.

What is the best time ( months ) for whale watching

    Comments

Hi Chong. Whale watching is available in the Gold Coast between June and October with trips departing daily at 10am. Whales can be viewed this entire time however generally the best time of year to see them are at the end of June through to the end of July. This is a very popular activity so I do recommend booking in advance.
