Hi I have booked a sunset tour on the 16th of March and am wondering if I would have the time for the this sunrise tour. It would be for March 17th. My flight leaves Ayers at 1:20pm on the 17th. Please let me know roughly the pick up time and drop off back to the resort. I am assuming the resorts have shuttles to the airport. How early should one be at the airport? I need to know this before I book it. I thank you for your time in advance!
Do you walk the entire base of Uluru?

Hi Cheryl. Uluru is actually 9.4km (5.8miles) in circumference at the base so walking around the entire rock would take 3 or more hours, especially given there are many spots around the base that are sectioned off and require a wide berth. The Uluru sunrise tour (Y18) includes a coach tour around the base of Uluru as well as a walk around part of the base and the famous Mutitjulu Waterhole. There is another tour (Y41) that is similar but goes for longer and includes a number of different walks around the base of Uluru and you will actually get to touch the rock on this tour. Yes you will be finished well in time for your flight out at 1.50pm. The Uluru sunrise tour finishes up about 3.5 hours after sunrise (between 7.15am and 7.30am this time of the year) so you will be done by 11am at the latest.
