I highly recommend this IF you are able to spend 6 hrs trekking. It was extremely informative and made the experience at "the rock" so much better.

Latest Questions about Uluru Sunrise & Guided Base Walk (Uluru (Ayers Rock))

What is the maximum number of people on this tour? And what is the level of fitness needed for the walking part?

    Comments

A moderate level of fitness is required on the Uluru sunrise and guided base walk tour as it includes a lengthy but gentle walk on flat ground. There are up to 45 people on board the bus so effectively this is the maximum number of guests at any one time although there are often tours with much less than that.

How many miles is the walk?

Comment by: Ala on 10th Jul 16 at 11:57

The Uluru base walk is 10km (6 miles) around however you don't walk around the entire base on this tour. You walk about 5km (3-4 miles) which takes 1-1.5 hours.
