Sydney Harbour Tall Ships Twilight Cruise Sydney
Can you think of a nicer way to finish a day of sightseeing in Sydney, than aboard a Tall Ship on a two-hour twilight cruise? At sunset, join other passengers and the crew of either the Southern Swan or Søren Larsen and enjoy a sail around Sydney Harbour. Take in the twinkling city lights from under the majestic white sails of an authentic wooden Tall Ship and recreate an experience of a bygone era.
Your cruise will be reminiscent of the First Fleet arriving into Botany Bay over two centuries ago. In fact, the Southern Swan Tall Ship is the flagship of the First Fleet historic re-enactment, while the Søren Larsen is a Brigantine ship that has made its way over the seas from Denmark to Greenland, and through the South Pacific – finally making Sydney its final port.
The most exciting part of the journey is that you will have the opportunity to climb to the very top of the mast of the tall ship (optional extra) and get a bird’s eye view of the Harbour! Previously, only the qualified crew were allowed to scale such heights, but now the experience has been extended to those passengers brave enough to climb. Sydney Harbour Tall Ships have developed specialised equipment to ensure your total safety – you will have a qualified member of the crew instructing you at every step along the way, so you can feel confident and just enjoy the stunning vistas.
If heights are a little bit daunting for you, you can still play a part by assisting the crew in hoisting the sails or even steering the ship! Feel the wind on your face and hear it fill the sails of the ship propelling you forward through the waters of Sydney Harbour.
Throughout your Twilight Cruise, you will enjoy live acoustic music and delicious finger food. You can also book and pay for your drinks before you set sail and make the most of the refreshing beverages available –including beer, wine, sparkling wine and soft drinks.
Mast Climb
Climbing the mast is an experience like no other. Previously only qualified crew have been able to do this exhilarating experience. Sydney Harbour Tall Ships has developed exclusive safety equipment and provide a qualified crew member to instruct you on the climb. Now this incredible experience is available to all to enjoy. Limited to 20 climbs per cruise.

Hi Capri. The minimum age for the Sydney tallships mast climb is about 10 years of age however this is up to the crew on the day and may change with the sea conditions.
