Description
Day 1: Uluru Sunset
On arrival at Ayers Rock Airport you will be transferred to the resort (flights to arrive prior to 3.00pm, airfare not included). This evening you will enjoy Australian sparking wine and nibbles watching the famous Uluru sunrise, then relax for a night at your accommodation.
Day 2: Uluru (Ayers Rock) & Kata Tjuṯa (the Olgas)
Start the morning bright and early and travel to Kata Tjuta (the Olgas), where you will witness a magical sunrise whilst enjoying a warm cup of tea, coffee or hot chocolate. Marvel at the panoramic views of Kata Tjuta with the sight of Uluru in the distance. You will then take time to explore the gorge and the unique rock formations on the Valley of the Winds walk, which follows a steep rocky path to the base of the massive Kata Tjuṯa domes.
In the afternoon, travel back to Ayers Rock Resort in the coach in time for lunch!
Day 3: Ayers Rock
Enjoy an early morning start on the Uluru Sunrise Guided Full Base Walk. You will start by walking past sacred sites such as Kuniya Piti, where you will hear traditional stories of the Mala Men. Following this is the Mala Walk and Kantju Gorge. Here, water cascades down the side of Uluru (about 90 metres) after rainfall, which is an incredible sight to behold. Throughout the walk, your guide will also point out the Mututjulu waterhole and Aboriginal rock paintings.
