Port Douglas Parasailing

Description

Join Uplift Watersports’ to go parasailing in Port Douglas on their custom built parasailing boat, affectionately known as ‘The Duck.’ 'The Duck' ensures you a safe, comfortable and fun ride. Enjoy spectacular views over Port Douglas and surrounding waters. No experience necessary.

You will be greeted at the boat by the skipper Rick (21 years parasailing experience) and experienced crew for a full safety briefing and fitting of safety equipment and harnesses. Board the boat and depart the marina out to the point where the crew will inflate the chute from the back of the boat – a pretty spectacular moment so get your camera ready! When it’s your turn, you will be invited to the back deck of the boat where you will be fastened into your harness – all you need to do is sit in the harness like on a swing.

The boats stand-alone winch will then extend the rope out so that you slowly float into the air off the back of the boat. Enjoy the views and soak up the calming atmosphere! An optional water dip is included in the cost (seasonal). Once your flight is over (approx. 10 minutes in the air) you will be winched slowly back down to the back of the boat for a soft landing! The total trip time is dependent on the number of passengers on board (max 10) but is usually no more than 1.5 hours.

Other Information

• Upgrade to the mega flight on the day & fly at 500ft (usually 300ft) for an additional $20. Weather permitting
• Spectators can travel for $30 per person subject to availability on the day
• Participants are required to sign a liability release form before departure. Under 18’s will need a parent or guardian to sign on their behalf
• Under 12’s are welcome to fly but only in tandem with an adult. No minimum age as such, but the child must be able to fit in a harness – usually around 5-6yrs
• Maximum of 10 customers on boat
• GoPro's are permitted but must be securely attached 
• Minimum weight is approximately 40kgs & maximum is 160kg (single or as a combined weight as tandem). These weights are a guide as they are subject to weather conditions on the day
