Byron Bay Sea Kayaking

    Everything Travel Group Review

Simply....WOW! The half day sea kayaking tour with Cape Byron Kayaks in Byron Bay is by far the best value for money tour I have ever done. And I don't say this lightly. In the last 10 years I been fortunate enough to experience over 250 different adventure and sightseeing activities in New Zealand and Australia and this one takes the cake for tours costing under $100.

On our half day tour we saw a huge loggerhead turtle, a pod of bottlenose dolphins and a humpback whale and her calf, which was absolutely breathtaking.

Recommendations: If you want calmer sea conditions then I recommend booking the morning tour rather than the afternoon.

Latest Questions about Kayaking - Cape Byron Kayaks (Byron Bay)

    Hi,
A group of 8 of us are travelling to Byron Bay 14-16 March. Do you have any bookings available on that weekend so we could all kayak together?

    Thanks
    Lisa

    Comments

    Hi Lisa,

Between the 14-16th March there is availability for all 8 of you on either the morning (8:30am) or afternoon (1pm) trips, with the exception of the 15th which has the 8:30am trip already full.

I would definitely book in advance to ensure sure you can all get on the same tour.

Hi, I am really interested in doing the Cape Byron kayaking but I am not able to swim. Do you have to be able to swim to go on this trip?

    Comments

Hi Simon. In order to go kayaking in Byron Bay it is not essential to know how to swim. You will be wearing a life jacket and all the Cape Byron Kayaking guides are qualified surf lifesavers. That being said it is never advisable to participate in any ocean or river  based activities unless you have some previous water experience and know what to do should you fall in.

    What is the dolphin guarantee?

    Comments

Hi Stephanie. The Cape Byron Kayaks dolphin guarantee means that if you don't see a dolphin on your Byron Bay kayak trip then you get to do the trip again on another day for free.
