Jungle Surfing is one of the most exciting and unusual ways to experience the incredible atmosphere of the amazing Daintree Rainforest in all its world-renowned splendour.

Jungle Surfing Canopy Tours take you on an adventure in the rainforest with a difference—your feet won’t touch the ground. You’ll travel from tree to tree with the use of flying fox zip lines. At six separate platforms built into the trees, you’ll stop to drink in unbelievable aerial views high above the treetops that descend upon sparkling streams and stretch out to the massive Great Barrier Reef.

The tour is absolutely safe and lots of fun, and you’ll be accompanied by a guide every step of the way. No prior ziplining experience is needed, and people of all ages are welcome to take part in the fun.

Those who find the heights involved a little intimidating are encouraged to take on the challenge of ziplining and embrace the rewarding experience at hand. You’ll be accompanied at every point of your journey by an extremely knowledgeable team consisting of guides, scientists and abseiling experts who will ensure that you enjoy a safe and enriching experience exploring the rainforest canopy.

About The Tour
When you arrive at the centre where you get fitted with your harness, you’ll be introduced to a team consisting of two to five guides who’ll be with you as you enjoy your jungle surfing experience. Every guest will attend a fitting for a helmet and full body harness.

Take a 250 metre long forest walk before arriving at the Exit Platform, the location of your safety briefing. Then, it’s up, up and away as your feet bid the forest floor farewell and you are winched up on your own to Platform 1. Jungle Surfing does not involve the use of motors, and your journey up to Platform 1 is powered completely by man!

You will be met by a guide on each platform. Your guide will ensure you are safety connected to the tree, tell you a bit about the rainforest and then prepare you for your onward journey to the following platform.

Duration

• Allow 2 hours including transfers from Cape Tribulation accommodation (1.25hrs jungle surfing)

• 7:50am, 9:10am, 9:50am, 11:10am, 1:50pm, 2:30pm & 3.50pm
• Free transfers from Cape Tribulation accommodation or if you are driving up from Cairns or Port Douglas meet next to PK's Jungle Village
• If you are driving from Cairns please allow 2.5 hours to get there
• Operates daily all year

Other Information

• Jungle Surfing is an adventure activity for all ages from 3-103, so the whole family can enjoy the thrill of flying through the rainforest
• Not recommended for pregnant women
• Cape Tribulation is 2.5 hours north of Cairns. There is plenty of accommodation in Cape Trib if you want to stay the night or you can drive yourself from Cairns for the day
• If driving yourself to Cape Tribulation you will need to cross the Daintree river on the car ferry which costs $26 return & operates from 6am to midnight every day
