Sydney Heli Grand Tour - 30 minute flight
From the moment you take off, you will be breathless at the panoramic views that Sydney has to offer – from the tall office buildings in the CBD out to the Pacific Ocean.
Chat to your companions on the flight through voice-activated headsets and the pilot will entertain you with commentary on what you will be seeing on your flight. After a short time in the air, your pilot will guide the helicopter north – over 150 metres above the sparkling blue waters of Maroubra Beach. You will fly along the winding coastline of the Eastern Suburbs beaches including Coogee, Clovelly, and – of course – Australia’s most loved beach, Bondi. Get a bird’s eye view of the homes of Dover Heights; many of the residents here are lucky enough to have spectacular views of Sydney Harbour and Sydney Harbour Bridge. Continue the flight to Sydney Heads, leading into Sydney Harbour.
From Sydney Heads, your pilot will direct the helicopter further north, passing over the gorgeous Manly and Curl Curl Beaches and on to Dee Why and Long Reef. Be mesmerised by the views as the pilot turns towards Manly Dam and Middle Harbour. Let your imagination run wild while gazing at the miniaturised vehicles, travelling through the busy traffic along the Spit Bridge as the flight continues towards Sydney Harbour. Here, you will see the cluster of Sydney’s greatest tourist sites, such as Watsons Bay, Rose Bay, Taronga Zoo, the Sydney Harbour Bridge and the easily recognisable white ‘sails’ of the Sydney Opera House.
On your return back to the heliport – and this part of the flight should appeal to sports enthusiasts – you will fly over Sydney’s sporting precinct, passing the Sydney Football Stadium, the Sydney Cricket ground and the Randwick Racecourse.
