Description
Join us on a Fraser Island wilderness adventure from Noosa
This one day tour will take you on an insightful journey to the amazing World Heritage listed Fraser Island. Fraser Island is an enormous 123km long and 23km wide at its widest point. In fact, Fraser Island is the largest sand island in the world! During your tour, you will have a friendly and experienced guide to provide you with informative and entertaining commentary throughout the tour.
Fraser Island is only a short 10-minute ferry ride from Noosa on the beautiful Sunshine Coast, Queensland. On our tour of the island, you will be able to relax in comfort, in an air-conditioned purpose-built ‘Warrior’ 4WD. These vehicles have been designed to ensure that you are totally comfortable and safe driving over the rough coastal terrains of Fraser Island. You will experience the thrill of driving – not on roads – but on the beach, right next to the crashing waves!
The tour leaves from Noosa, where you will board a cable ferry, travel across the Noosa River, and further into the Cooloola National Park. Continue on your way to Fraser Island, past the paradisiacal stretches of sand on Rainbow Beach or Teewah. Once you arrive on Fraser Island, it’s time for a delicious morning tea on the beach. Watch the waves break onto the shore as you relax and enjoy the view. You also have the option of exploring the area further, and to take a leisurely stroll along the famous Seventy Five Mile Beach.
Board your ‘Warrior’ 4WD once again and continue your tour through the town of Eurong to the lunch stop at Lake McKenzie. You will enjoy a picnic-style lunch with wraps, salads & cold meats, and – to top it all off – you will also have time to take a cooling swim in the incredibly crystal-clear turquoise waters of this vast body of water. Then enjoy a self-guided walk along Wangoolooba Creek & through Pile Valley Rainforest
Afterwards, it’s time to board your tour vehicle stop for afternoon tea in the coastal town of Rainbow Beach. The ferry will take you back to Noosa where the tour ends in the early evening.
Fraser Island boasts a plethora of stunning natural environments; from the sweeping beaches, to the many unblemished lakes and the lush tropical rainforests – this area is simply stunning. Did you know that Fraser Island is only place in the world where rainforest grow from sand dunes? How amazing! This tour is perfect for those wanting the experience of a weekend getaway, but on a shorter schedule. You will leave feeling relaxed, refreshed and ready for the world!

Hi Sue,
I have just called the operator and unfortunately this is not possible, the tour will not be able to get you to Kingfisher Resort and would need to bring you back to either Rainbow Beach or Noosa.
