It doesn’t matter if you are a frequent cyclist or not, Melbourne by Bike Tours is a safe and leisurely group activity. The tour includes plenty of breaks for a rest and a chat. Melbourne is a city filled with natural beauty and architectural riches. This exciting tour includes all the sites that you can possibly imagine, all fit into one tour. The locations you will pass will be dependent on the proximity of your starting point. Tours normally depart from Federation Square in Swanston Street; however, Melbourne by Bike are willing to arrange St. Kilda beach or Port Melbourne as your starting points.
Among the many beautiful locations you can see on your trip are the Yarra River, Crown Casino, Flinders Street Station, Beacon Grove, the Victorian Arts Centre the Botanical Gardens. Other land mark sites frequented on these excellent trips are the Shrine of Remembrance and the magnificent floral clock located in the Queen Victoria Gardens, as well as famous sporting arenas such as the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) and Albert Park – home to the Grand Prix.
The city’s varied shopping arcades, laneways and lively, eclectic suburbs are on full display as you take in one of the world’s most reputable cities in a fun, healthy and eco-friendly fashion. You will get to know Melbourne’s prime coffee, art, sporting and dining locations – including enjoying a light lunch at one of these establishments.
The Bike
You will be equipped with a modern, safe and comfortable bike that is suited to you. Your options include a tandem, a child seat, or a tag-along. For your trip, you will be supplied with a bike helmet and fluoro safety vest.
This tour is open to people of all skill levels; however, it is not recommend that people under the age of 12 to participate.

Other Information
- People of all ages & fitness levels are welcome although we prefer children to be over 12 years of age
- Tandem bikes are available as well as children seats or a tag-along for your bike
- What to bring: comfortable clothes for riding, closed-toe shoes, sunscreen, hat (you can wear a hat under your helmet), rain jacket & of course your camera
