Description

Whether you are looking for a romantic experience, or simply wanting to enjoy one of Australia’s most spectacular landscapes from the sky, join Hot Air for a morning you will never forget. 

Your adventure begins in the early hours of the morning when you meet with fellow passengers at your Gold Coast pick up point and are taken out to the launch site. A professional photographer will be on site to capture your special experience on the ground, but make sure to bring your own camera too. You are encouraged to help with the setup of the balloon, which takes around 20-25 minutes and is itself an exciting task. Be mesmerised by the sight and sound of the sharp bursts of the burner flames inflating the colourful balloon, until it is standing upright and ready for boarding.

Climb aboard the basket and enjoy the commentary by your pilot as you lift off into the dark pre-dawn sky and fly through the crisp still air, ascending to heights of over 600 metres (2000 feet)! With little sense of movement, and in a tranquil and almost silent atmosphere, you will feel completely secure as the balloon floats gently – guided only by the strength and direction of the wind. Your friendly and experienced pilot is happy to answer any questions you may have and is always willing to share his or her knowledge and expertise.

The highlight of the flight occurs at dawn, when you will marvel at the breathtaking beauty of the landscape of the Gold Coast and Hinterland as it comes to life in the warm glow of the rising sun. 

Once your feet touch solid ground again, the balloon is packed away and you are taken to O'Reillys Grand Vineyard and Homestead for breakfast where you are greeted with a glass of sparkling wine and a smile. Here you can feast on the scrumptious hot plated breakfast and enjoy exclusive access to O'Reillys Canungra Valley Vineyard.

Then you will head back to your accommodation on the coast with the feeling that you have fulfilled your day before your friends have even gotten out of bed.

• Generally Hot Air Balloon flights are operated all year round thanks to the beautiful Gold Coast weather
• Children must be at least 3 years old to travel
• The Operator recommends that pregnant persons do not fly in a hot air balloon & will not carry passengers who are pregnant
• Aviation Insurance Levy included in price
• No weight restrictions for flights but anyone over 100kg should advise us at the time of booking
• We recommend you you wear casual comfortable  layered clothing and flat enclosed shoes on the day of your flight, also you can wear a hat & sunglasses
• The guides do take photos during your flight & you are able to purchase them with the price depending upon resolution. Digital copies can be downloaded once purchased
