QANTAS & Virgin Australia Airlines
Most international airlines fly direct to Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane. Qantas is the main Australian international airline. There are three domestic airlines, Qantas, Virgin & Jetstar that fly to all cities around Australia several times a day.

Australian Weather
When it's cold down south during winter, it's perfect in the north and the red centre; when it's too hot and humid up north in the summer, the southern states are in their absolute prime. The seasons in Australia are the opposite of those countries in the northern hemisphere. Summer is December to February with warm weather and long dalylight hours perfect for swimming and other outdoor activities. Winter is June to August when temperatures and tourist numbers in the southern states drop but not in the Northern Territory and Queensland where the dry season lasts from April to September and offers a dry and highly agreeable warm winter climate.

Car & Campervan Rentals
If you need a rental car then shop around because cars cost between $19 and $120 per day depending on make of car and time of year. We have found that Maui offer great quality and value for money cars and campervans.

World Clock
Australia is one of the first countries in the world to see the New Year. There are 3 times zones with Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and all other towns on the east coast on Eastern Standard time. Adelaide, Alice Springs and Darwin is 30 minutes behind and Perth is 2 hours behind the east coast. In summer, Queensland, Western Australia and the Northern Territory don't have daylight savings so they are all a further 1 hour behind the southern states. Confused yet?

Australian Immigration
Thinking of staying for a little longer? Work visas are easy to obtain and can often be sorted within 48 hours if you have a job offer. If you're thinking of staying in this beautiful country for good then it's a little harder but certainly attainable; especially if you have a degree or qualification in an understaffed field. If not then there are always plenty of locals willing to get married for a few extra bucks. Nah, only kidding, that would be illegal!
