They kept in constant contact with me which was helpful especially when we did not know if the reef cruise would still go ahead because of COVID restrictions.

The first thing which has to be noted about Quicksilver, is how amazing this boat is. It’s the biggest boat that goes out to the reef. I took my Mum on this trip and we both had a great day out. You always feel completely safe on Quicksilver the boat is able to handle rougher seas with ease and the crew are very helpful. Quicksilver is also one of a few companies which have a floating pontoon at their snorkel and dive locations so getting in and out of the water is very easy and there is plenty of room to walk around once you get off the boat at the reef. This is a great experience for people that want to check out the reef in a calm and organised fashion. Perfect for families.

Suggestions: Splash out and get some of the professional photos taken by the Quicksilver Crew, the underwater photos are amazing and something you will certainly be glad you have.

Hiya Peter,  I hope you are well. Thanks so much for your enquiry into the QuickSilver Reef Boat Day Trip Tour. The Capicty can depend on which vessel they use as one is slightly smaller than the other so you can have anywhere from 300 - 450 passengers on any given day.

do u guys usually book out in mid december how long before hand should i book 2 seats?

    Comments

Hi Michael. The Poseidon reef boat from Port Douglas is very popular and sometimes books up a week or more in advance. I'd recommend booking sooner rather than later so you secure your seats. If you wish to change your booking down the track then we can do this for you at no extra expense as long as you give us at least 48 hours notice.

hi how are you this fine morning?

I was just wanting to know if there is a big difference in what you will see between snorkelling and the ocean walk?

    Comments

Hi Dan, with the Ocean Walking you are able to get closer to the reef and I guess it is more of a scuba diving experience for those that are not certified to get an idea of what it is like submerged completely under the water, whilst being able to breathe normally. You will be able to take a walk on the reef platform as well. Whilst you will see much of the same as you would if you were snorkelling you will have more of a close encounter with the reef itself rather than looking from a distance.

We will have a 2 years old and a 3year old, is this a suitable trip for them or is it not recommended. There will be 5 adults travlling with them

    Comments

Hi Katirna. Your 2 and 3 year old are fine to go on the Quicksilver day trip. They just need to be supervised and are accompanied by a responsible adult at all times and it is suggested buoyancy vests are worn. These are available free of charge.
