Melbourne Lanes and Arcades Walk
Description
The beautiful city of Melbourne was voted the most liveable city in the world – and once you visit, you will see why! This stunning three-hour stroll through the magical lanes and arcades that make up the Beautiful city of Melbourne will leave you in awe of the charm this metropolis holds.
One of the most beautiful arcades in Melbourne is the Block Arcade – lined with a mosaic-tile floor, a stunning carved stone and glass canopy. This spectacular 19th century shopping arcade was built in 1891 and modelled from Milan’s grand Galleria Vittorio Emanuele. As you walk through this majestic landscape, filled with quaint boutiques and cafes – all of which have been blended in the magical style of the era – see some of the area’s most renowned delicatessen including the Hopetoun Tea Rooms, this stunning window dressed cake and chocolatiers shop will have your senses on fire.
Flinders Lane is a perfect example of what Melbourne is all about – the history, the culture – and of course – the magical scenic shopping experiences. Enjoy the stunning Al fresco dining, beautifully set out specialty shops and quaint bars that lie adjacent in laneways mixed throughout this magical city. Each arcade/laneway has its own particular atmosphere and personality, making your exploration through these areas a spectacular day-out. Included in your Melbourne journey is a beautiful morning tea, delicious lunch and a glass of wine at the Caboose Restaurant. While you’re wondering though the city streets, take in some of the local designer and specialty shops. There is also plenty of opportunity to delve into the city rich history – including some spectacular architecture.
