What is the main difference between the Cairns Barron river rafting and Cairns Tully river rafting?
The main difference between these river rafting options is the length of time on the water and the size of the rapids. The Barron river will have you on the water for approximately 2 hours, compared to the Tully which will include approximately 4 hours. Rivers are graded by a system starting at 1 and going through to 6. Level 1 is slow moving water, level 6 is un-raftable for rafts. The Barron river operates at levels of 2-3, where as the Tully River operates at levels of 3-4.
