See Brisbane in all its glory on the Story Bridge Adventure Climb – one of the only three major bridge climbs in the World!

Located at Brisbane City’s Kangaroo Point, the Story Bridge is one of Brisbane’s most iconic man made features and climbing this stunning landmark is now considered a must-do when visiting this glorious city. The 80 metre summit of the bridge offers a phenomenal bird’s eye perspective and the climb itself is exhilarating and interesting.

Before your climb, you will gear up in a climb suit, radio headset, harness, hat, all weather jacket and fleece jacket and – of course – sunscreen. You will be given a full safety briefing before beginning your ascent up the walkway, which requires a reasonable level of fitness, but is definitely not too difficult. During your climb, your friendly and experienced climb leader will fill you in with commentary on the fascinating history and other stories about the city and the bridge.

When you reach the top of the summit, you will be absolutely awestruck! The 360 degree views of the buzzing city below will show you exactly why its residents love to live here. The views of further afield are even more stunning; to the east, you will see the picturesque Moreton Bay Islands, while the westerly view reveals the emerald hues of Brisbane Forest Park and Mt Coot-tha. The views to the north allow you to see the gorgeous Glasshouse Mountains, while the southerly vista gives you a scenic look at the world-heritage listed Lamington National Park.

For a different perspective on these amazing views, why not try a twilight climb, where the setting sun lends a magical tinge to the skyline and the cooling day releases a sigh of pleasure over the city. Alternatively a night climb offers tremendous views of the city under the blanket of night, with the twinkle of the city lights setting a romantic scene for the climbers – truly a magical sight!
For those brave souls who want to add a little bit of an adrenaline rush to your climb, there’s also the option of abseiling down the Story Bridge. What a thrill!

• Minimum age 10 years old
• Child rates apply (10-16yrs). Kids must be accompanied by an adult
• Minimum height requirement of 130cm
• Tour departure times vary with the seasons & the sunset
• Not suitable for people with walking disabilities or pregnant women over 20 weeks
• Maximum weight restriction of 130kg
• Wear comfortable clothes suitable for the weather & enclosed rubber soled shoes such as runners or hiking shoes which offer comfort, support & grip
• Cameras are not allowed to be taken on the climb. You will receive 3 complimentary photos on usb after your climb
• Upgrade to the Abseil Climb to include abseiling down the Story Bridge as well
