You have completely forgotten about the stunning view as you teeter on the edge of the cliff top. Your heart begins to thud even louder as you swing your upper body outwards, leaning far out, over the abyss. You become keenly aware of your own body weight causing tension on the apparent thinness of the rope and the vast emptiness below you as you shuffle your feet for a better grip, but you take a step backward and down regardless. You are now at the point of no return and your nervous energy has made you particularly cautious, so you take it slow and steady as you walk backwards down the wall. After a few big gulps and deep breaths, you are now feeling a little more confident about the state-of-the-art rope and equipment you have been provided, so you decide to test your boundaries by taking a few small bounces off the wall. The feeling is exhilarating and your adrenaline rush of fright has now morphed into an awesome adrenaline high. By the time you make it to the bottom of the 20 metre high cliff, you are so elated that all you want to do is go back to the top and do it all again!

This is abseiling and Riverlife Abseiling offer you the perfect thrill – abseiling down the Kangaroo Point Cliffs in Brisbane, Queensland. Your adventure starts with a safety and instruction briefing hosted by Riverlife’s friendly, qualified and experienced instructors. After gearing up in the safety equipment provided by Riverlife, you make your way to the top of the Kangaroo Point Cliffs where you will be stunned by the gorgeous scenery of Brisbane and its river. As you wait your turn, you can take your mind off the butterflies by admiring the view and watching the variety of boats and kayaks as they meander along the river. When it’s your turn to step off the edge, take a deep breath and go for it, knowing that the Riverlife team consider your safety to be their top priority. With absolutely no experience necessary, you will leave this amazing adventure with a firm ability to abseil and a passion for doing so! This is truly a must-do if you want to explore the natural wonders of Brisbane in a unique way and is an achievement that you will remember forever.
